Sketchbook Project 2011

Lauren Britz, owner of ShutterFlies Photography recently participated in The Sketchbook Project 2011, created by Art House Co-op.

It's open to all genres of art. You sign up. You choose your theme from a suggested list. They send you a blank sketchbook. You fill in up with whatever your imagination comes up with. You send it back to them and Voila! You are part of the biggest sketchbook library at the Brooklyn Art Library, NY.

The great people there also take your book on tour all accross America and thank to the advent of barcodes, every time someone checks out your book, you get a message! Mine was checked out this morning :)

Lauren chose the theme, "Adhere to me", and opted to use her book as an opportunity to create self portraits. Each page is a self portrait which is double exposed,  has creative printing elements added to the images, containing various parts of the body and were transferred to the sketchbook using the gel transfer method.

Check it out online!
